Athletics at Aquinas High School

Whether an all-star athlete or a recreational player, your child will be able to take part in a team sport that he or she will be excited to play. More than 90% of our students participate in one or more sports or extracurriculars.

Our collective sense of pride is something you just won’t find in other public or private school athletic programs. It’s a sense of family and community, extending beyond the players into the entire student body, parents, grandparents, and siblings. Come see how we celebrate each other’s successes and cheer for the Fightin’ Irish!

A Foundation of Virtue and Discipline

Our athletic programs are more than just competitions, strength training, and skill development.

Whether at home or away, our faith focus is ever-present and underscored through team prayer. Your student-athlete will learn discipline, hard work, and good sportsmanship. Our athletic programs also cultivate time management skills that will be beneficial in college and the workplace.

To recognize student-athletes who excel in these traits, we select one member from each team annually to receive a Virtue Award. The individuals selected have exemplified good sportsmanship and character in their interactions with peers, coaches, and referees throughout the year.
